Over ride automatic Lights
So I disabled the automatic lights on the Bonneville. I didn't take pictures because I have no camera. But how I did it was pull of the time in front of the dashboard. The sensor in question is the one right in front of the driver. I do not know what the other one is in the middle.
A closed circuit means sunny to the car. SO, what I did was cut the sensor off with some wire left on the sensor just in case the sensor needs to be reattached. I kept the sensor in so I don't have an annoying hole in my trim. I took the two wires coming up out of the dash and soldered them together.
Now all you have to do is snap the trim back in and remember your lights don't come on by themselves any more.

good for my 97 have you tried taking out the sensor hooking it up to an ohm meter and seeing what resistance it is at full sun and putting that resistor in series.

It'* just not for me. I've never found a reason why I need to remove the auto headlights as I love that feature. There'* no need to hunt for a **** or waste the millisecond to turn them on..
I like features.

Thought of that one. 86.2K ohms. I don't have the resistors to get that exact resistance but I had tried a 100K and it didn't work.

I love features too hence going to add air shocks in the back (with correlating write up). But sometimes you need the dark for a little cover. Like when you don't want to disturb the wild life on an abandon private road. Yeah I like that one we will go with that.

The have a combo at radio shack that will make it. 2.2K+ 3(22K)+10K+5K+3K you have 86.2K ohms just put them all in series. Might be an easier combo. But to make any resistance you want all you need is to put resistors in series to make it.
