Our 2003 SSeI Wrecked
I am now an official member of the "white curse" club...
Elderly gentleman in an older body style Tundra with a brush guard, went down the side of our Bonneville while parked at a restaurant. What'* worse, I honestly don't think he realized what he did.. It was like we were talking to a brick wall.
As you can see he hit starting at the quarter panel and just kept going. I heard the outside mirror crunch inside the restaurant. He was so close to the car, that he almost hit it again while moving his truck away.. We had to help him, and my wife said when he moved to another slot he went up the curb..
ARGH! Needing to vent some..

Yeah, we called the police.. They did a report, but since it was obvious what happened and that it was in a parking lot, he didn't do a big writup or anything.. It'* on record, and we exchanged info and etc..
Guy wasn't drunk or anything, he just wasn't all there. Just one of those deals where he probably shouldn't be driving..
Man, why did I park there..........

Hey, it happens to the best of us, but never happens to the worst of em. For all we know, that might have been the last draw with his insurance company. Hopefully he will learn from this and surrender his license.
Lucky for you the damage doesn't seem to get into the pillars or structural integrity of your car.
BTW, you don't qualify for White Curse status. This happened to your car, your car didn't do it to itself.

Hi Ivory03: I'm here to post about a problem, but I had to offer my sympathies about your problem. My '93 white Bonneville (with 93,000 original miles and not a scratch on it) lost its passenger side mirror housing about two hours after I registered it in New York State. Some guy in an oversize pickup opened his door as I was passing his parking space. The mirror snapped and almost took my friend'* head off as it flew in through the front door window.

BTW, Danthurs.. And a new back door.. I see a ever so slight crease in the driver door, but it is fine except for the mirror.
and Mike1995.. Yeah, your right.. It isn't "super bad".. My problem is, I am soo particular.. I know when I go to pick up this car some day from the repair shop, it won't be good enough...
I got to get that mirror unplugged and removed tomorrow...

The one thing about white paint...it'* much easier to color match as well as finish. I'm really sorry to hear this. Thanks fully the damage is not worse and nobody got injured....on purpose or otherwise.
