Default Original fuel filter?

So today i changed the fuel filter on my GXP, it has 86,000 on it now, i bought it with 69,000. The filter I removed had AC Delco on it. What are the odds it was the original filter? I'm thinking pretty good.

you ain't kidding yutzybrian!! Its usually the first thing i change when I buy a used car. For some reason i didn't do it on this one. It got a new air filter and plugs and oil change but not the filter.

Yea don't sweat it on the not changing it, I still need to change mine and I've had the car for a year already. I'm not too good on getting on doing things. Chances are though the fuel filter was replaced at some point and a new AC Delco from the auto store was used.

My 95 still had the original filter that I changed just a month prior to scrapping it. 192,000 miles!

What was weird with mine was, I purged any remaining fuel using my air compressor and letting it sit for a few days in the driveway. I opened the can up and pulled out the paper filter and lit it on fire. It BURNED for a good 20 minutes before it finally went out.
