it is worth $3500....you would get around $3000 for it on ebay.
transmission is on its last legs most likely.
it is in great shape for the miles though. better shape than my lower mileage car.

Dealer wouldn't budge. Not even a dollar. $4900 was their already bottom line. We walked away. On to the next one....
Found this one on craigslist: http://kalamazoo.craigslist.org/car/497820404.html
Hopefully will be going to look at it on Saturday. Right off the bat I can tell it'* not as clean and needs an oil pressure sensor. He said it was tuned up and a new battery within the past three months.

Two more that we're gonna look at on Saturday:
http://grandrapids.craigslist.org/car/495592527.html
http://grandrapids.craigslist.org/car/495589732.html
Both cars are identical to each other except SLE vs. SSEi. He said the SSEi has three bad window regulators.

Looked at all of those cars. 100% JUNK. What a waste of time.
I've never seen such poorly cared for cars. Leaky gaskets, puddling coolant, trashed interiors, slipping transmissions. What a long day (all 391 miles of it in the Duh).
But, the good news is he did end up with a car yesterday.

They were asking $7,500 for it. Playing a lot of hardball got him the car for $5,500. Extremely clean car with remote start. High miles, but was obviously well cared for. We'll be doing the UIM, LIM gaskets, etc. within the coming weeks. Needs a few things, too. Thermostat is stuck open, front passenger door speaker is blown, radio back light is burned out, windshield wiper squirters don't work (probably a clogged line). Well worth the money, IMO.

Nothing like a project! You gotta love "restoring" those cars. They turn out awesome. The link has no pictures tho.
