ok, the new blower motor is real loose w/o the cover; i'm off to the yard to se if I can score one.
next question: when I took the stut bar off the brackets, somethings fell off. What might they have been?
be back later

I appreciate the offer but I have the gasket intact. I'm concerned about the cover since the motor, new and original, both have a large holes in the case where you can clearly see the internals. The other styles at the yards looked to be all-metal sealed units w/o the large holes in the side.
I've just been too sick to go anywhere since. Theres nothing worse than calling in sick all week and really being sick :(
