92 Bonneville Will Crank But Not Fire.
I have a 92 Bonneville SE, I've been having problems with the fuel pump. Sometimes I will go try to start my car and If i can hear the fuel pump buzz it will start no problem. But lately it wont start and when i put the key in the ignition I wait to listen for the pump but i get nothing. Ive replaced the fuel pump relay, the pump itself and I've actually removed the harness clip and hardwired the wires direct and their is still no difference. Just 2 days ago I Drove it, let it sit in the driveway and in the last 2 days the temperature has dropped and now she wont start again. Im not sure if the windows would effect this issue at all but one out of the 4 windows didnt want to work right before this started happening.
Please help, this is extremely frustrating.
Thanks,
Dennis

Sounds like a ground problem. Someone a bit more familiar with that year should be able to tell you where all the grounds are. But if the wrong one gets wet it will corrode, and can cause problems.

dont matter were it is if you read the resistance to good chassis ground as infinite you can grind down a spot on the body somewhere and make your own. just paint over your grinding and the fastener so it doesnt corrode

you should download this while i have it up. look middle lower for fuel pump. it says ground is black hot not labeled so its im guessing its either going to be pink and black or gray. pink sounds more familiar. grind or sand back a good spot on the frame and knife off some insulation on the black wire. on the ohms setting on your meter you should get very low reading (a few ohms) from chassis to the black. if you get alot more than thats high and you need to make a wire from there to chassis. if its good check the voltage to hot. you have to have someone turn the key cause its only hot during the prime cycle.
