Supercharged would be the ideal way to go of course. But factor in the fuel, upgrades, and more upgrades, and more fuel to support those upgrades...I make decent money, but I pay out way more on a car payment each month than I need to, plus I have a house to upkeep/upgrade, AND a know-it-all teenaged female unit that isn't mine but I love her to death...that last item definatley doesn't mix with a blower, unless its a hair dryer

I'm very sorry to see this car go. It'* particularly inspiring to see such a long-lasting L27 bottom end mate with an L67 top, so I wish it would go to someone able to maintain it. I've never been able to see if that'* a bra on the front of your car. I probably don't spend much time in Your Ride to find these things out.

The SSEi, from the get-go, has always been a problem child and veritable money pit. When I bought the car, it was going to eventually be the daily driver. The SSE fulfills that part very well, and I have put nearly 16k on the car since May of this year and not once has it complained.
Yes, that is indeed a hood bra on the siggy pic....Boosty got the entire set off of me since it was 96-99 specific. And yes, the engine runs near perfect though there are a few things that can't be tuned out (cold stumble that goes away the more warmed up it is), and because of the nature of this combo, it cannot be modded past this. Honestly, it runs and drives great, and really doesn't need much work done to make it a daily driver.
If someone on the club were to approach me and be serious on taking her off of my hands, I would let her go as I would rather see her stay in the club than in the scrapyard. If I trade her in or part it out, thats exactly were she would end up.

Perhaps. If i decide to part, I am sure some parts will end up there. I'm gonna look for a reason to trade in and trade up first.
But not before I put its AL7s in the SSE

From time to time, you meet things you could do without. For example, you could probably never buy a computer and do really well. I know a car mechanic who has no idea about how to use computers. On the other hand, I have owned a computer company and currently run web hosting & web design. *shameless plug* You're always going to find something that is relatively less economically efficient than a similar task.
I mean, look at all the LT1 owners out there. Have they wasted their time and money? It'* an improper comparison. I'm a big fan of our type that throws blissfully all our money into Bonnevilles. You two (Ed & sandrock) have truly spent a lot of money on your cars, but it really is only relative. For example, yes you could probably have a 6-speed manual and a 454 to work with, and upgrades may probably be cheaper and more tested. However, it'* in and of itself different than working with an automatic 4-speed and a 3.8. Would any other 3.8L & automatic 4-speed GM combo have been taken any further with the exact same amount of money (and labor) as the ones you have?
Sure, a Corvette is fast. But take away the excess weight, and it'* quicker. Is it worth the expense? I think Bonnevilles are great investments, and though it does suck that transmissions from time to time go their merry ways, it'* a lot of fun owning these cars. I respect your decisions to move on if you wish, but please don't take with you the idea that there'* less value in having a Bonneville.

Sandrock actually also has a 94 SSE Bonneville...lol...
And I am being honest.... The 1993 SSEi has been a money nightmare... I'd like to see him keep it and toy with it more..... But in the end it will be up to him
