Default Auto-Cross 01 SE vs ZX2

This was a close one at times. I know what your thinkin how can a race with a zx2 be a close one. Well as it is suggested it was what i call an auto-cross. This race lasted around 15 miles through country roads. Roads that are hilly and have sharp turns. So this is how it started. I was returning from a track meet where i watched a friend of mine qualify for state. Anyways as i was leaving my friend who was in the zx2 passed me, and when he did him and as his passenger flipped me off. So when i returned the gesture and the race began. When he passed me he had to be goin at least 80 and i was doin 55, so he had quite a lead before i got goin. I stomped on the gas and starte to close on them. I ended up passsing them goin at the top speed of around 107. After passing them and then goin and comin back down a hill and gaining distance on them wheni came to a sharp turn. At that point i had to lay on the brakes to stop from goin in the ditch i ended up goin into the oncomming traffic lane which opened up a hole for the zx2 pass me. So he passed me on the inside and he did the one finger salute again. He had the lead for a mile or so with me close behind. He had the lead due to the fact he could take the corners better since i had the disadvantage of having more weight on my side. On the next straight away i was able to past him since his car topped out around 103-105 so i was able to overtake him. Well after i passed him i had about a 3 car leangth lead and the i had to slow down for a 90 degree turn with railroad tracks before it. After the turn the zx2 had the speed and was about to pass me but he underestimated the distance he was ahead of me and darn near clipped my front bumper. I had to hit the brakes and swerve to avoid being hit. And at that point he had the lead. After that i was tailgatiing him for a lil bit and then we came to a town. He hit the brakes and due to the fact he had less weight he was slowing down a lot sooner, so i had to swerve into the other lane slam on the brakes and darn near rearend him before i got into the other lane. After the stop sign. I was able to take him off of the line and after that the whole road was a straight away so i had the lead all the way home. And that ends the best race i ever had. Sorry that this is quite long but i just wanted other people to share in my experiece.

Nice race.. just be careful as to oncoming traffic... one thing a lot of my friends and I use to do when we street track race was that whenever we're going to go on the brakes.. the lead car should always tap on the brakes first to flash their tailights.. this allows the car behind to know to go on brakes and that the lead car is off the gas and coming on brakes for the turn.. the last thing you need to do is get into a fender bender or worse with against another friend. Should also inform him of the fact that for the next race you're going to smoke him.. ha ha ha.. but no.. inform him that to remember you're car is heavier so the last thing he needs is for your Big car to fold his up into a lil pocket rocket.. ha ha ha..
