I simply wanted the non ugly rust colored look.

OH... and for all of you gutted airbox lovers.. I pulled the headlight and airbox, figured where the metal behind the headlight needed a trimming. Then painted it up nice with Rustoleum Stop Rust in a nice semi gloss black. Added a piece of plexi to shield the side of the radiator and also put two layers of a thick weatherstrip foam all around to seal up the box to the support, forcing the air to come from behind the headlight.

You can't see a thing looking at the car, the airbox still goes in and out of the car exactly the same. (I didn't make any of the changes on the box.) Looks clean and is helping with temps already.

You could have painted the car rust color to match the calipers... :P For that "Rust Never Sleeps" sleeper look...

I take it you've been monitoring the intake air temps with your AutoTap. What differences have you noticed?

Haven't even pulled it out to clear the SES light lately. My buttodyno tells me it was happier. Really scientific eh? lol

I do have recorded data from before and can do up a good test to see how it is soon. Been tired and feeling crappy since Morty and Allison gave us this cold.
