Hello all! I'm planning on taking my mom'* broken bonneville off her hands and was wondering, just how difficult is it to replace or rebuild the engine? My friends and I have some experience with engine work but none dealing with bonnevilles. Her car is a 98 Bonneville SE. I'd like to eventually make this my daily driver since it was the car that I learned to drive in... that and I like the look of it... thanks in advance

It isn't that hard. As long as you have the right lifts and such. I would suggest getting a FSM. This will make things much easier.

Any questions you have about working on the engine, just ask. I'm sure we will be able to answer what ever comes up.
