You'd be peeved too!!!
Well, for starters I took my last 8 hours of PTO I had available. Then I spend the morning and early after-noon gutting and cleaning the car. Head for the track and stop at a gas station half way there for some 100 octane racing fuel . Go to pay for the fuel and the gas station attendant says "Are you sure you want to run leaded fuel in that?" Damn it. So I just put 4.8 gallons of leaded 100 octane in. So I pulled over to the 93 octane and topped it off so wasn't so rich with the lead. Then I continue the final 35 miles to the track, only to arrive and find that they had cancelled the races about 10 minutes after I left home due to "possible" rain showers. When I arrived it was clear blue skies and no more rain forecasted in the next 8 hours.
So I wasted 8 hours of PTO, put leaded fuel in my car, wasted my whole day, and put 140 unnecesary miles on my car. I'm just totally PEEVED!!*@!&@!&@^^!@^!
Now I'm gonna go tear my hair out (and reassemble my car).
Only thing positive is the car is happy with the approx 97 octane (13 gallons of 92/93 octane, 5 gallons of 100, and two 12 oz bottles of octane booster).

JR -that'* what I'm worried about and why I topped it off with 93 octane right away.
Are you going to try tonight?
:?: I'm not going back (tonight), nor is anyone else. There were about 3 guys (workers) there at the gates when I got there telling people the races were cancelled.
They did tell me they are having street legal races on next Tuesday (two days after the nationals get over there). I may possibly swing in there then if I still own the SSEi (had a guy come and look at it last night and he'* checking with the bank this evening on a loan and he'* coming back here if he gets the loan -he just bought a house 2 months ago, and he'* looking to see what kind of financing could be worked out).
Gotta go now and put the lower portion of the back seat in, the trunk floor carpeting, spare tire, and spoiler back on (shouldn't take 15 minutes, but I want it all back in before he comes back).

That leaded fuel will probably kill the cat, too.
On the subject of octane booster, those two bottles you put in only raised the octane 0.2 points. Not 2 points.
The safer way to increase octane is to use Toluene.

Then about ten minutes after he called another guy called and said he really wants to come and look at it since he and his wife were looking at a 1999 SSE with 140k and the asking price was $6900 -way more than I'm asking.
Anyhow, I'm betting with the price I've got and the way it'* looking and running it should be a sure sell to the first person who can come up with the money.
