Started to work on changing my fuel filter today right as my brother pulled in the driveway. The Mr. Auto Know It All he is had to give me a piece of info *cough* BS *cough* and told me that 9 out of 10 times when you change a fuel filter on a GM vehicle that has a threaded filter on the one end, you end up breaking the line if its been on the vehicle for long. Judging by all the rust and how hard it was to get off, my car still had the original filter and has 101K on it.
Guess I'm the 1 out of 10 time that the fuel line doesn't break because my new filter is on and nothing is leaking. Gotta love brothers

mine leaks SLIGHTLY, but i don't think it'* enough to consider messing with it and potentially make it worse.
and that was a filter that held on for ~170K miles and 13 years.

yep... thought i was going to crimp the line via twisting. wasn't using a line wrench either and i started rounding off the "nut" as well...
at least the other end was a quick connect.
