I got around to changing my rotors and brake pads!
O.K. so I finally changed my rotors and brake pads. I was holding out so that i could get a set of slotted, but I got tired of shaking the hell out of myself everytime I hit the brakes. So, I just got plain old vented. I had to scimp on the pads too. I got Duralast GOLD. Now that all of that is done, I believe that I may have gotten a little air in the lines. The brakes just aren't as tight as they should be.

Good deal on the brake job. Maybe next time slotted & better pads. Anyway, is the brake pedal hard or spongy? You may need to bleed the brake system. If you didn't break any brake line fittings, you shouldn't have to bleed, but something else may be wrong here. More info needed.

The brakes feel spongy. I didn't open the system except for the resevoir to make sure I didn't overflow the fluid or bring it up too fast. The brake fluid level was a little low and I saw what looked like fluid on my passenger side caliper. The car is stopping fine, but it feels more like stopping power of semi-worn brakes.

have you dont some hard stops in reverse yet?
Cuz if not that why they feel like that.
also it takes a few stop and miles after doing a brake job for the brakes to feel right.

Maybe it'* old school thinking.. but I do notice anytime you change pads rotors drums.. you have to do a break in process for it to sit right before you start to enjoy it.. easiest method is like mention.. wait a few miles later.. but definitely do a leak test.. on the passenger side caliper..

I had the same problem when I changed one of my rear break springs that broke, never opened the system but the breaks got so spungy and weak that they almost couldnt stop the car after we blead them and LOTS of air can out of the one that the work was done on, the breaks where as good as new
