You can see my "system" in my sig,
You cna try foam tape to get your LP quiet, there'* the peice at the tp of the bumper right by the trunk lid opening that may vibrate, get under there and look at it.
On the drivers' rear wheel well there'* a rock sheild for the fuel tank filler neck, iI haven't seen on that looked securely attached yet.

the rattle is the rear bumper cover. either my car is messed up, or all bonnevilles bumpers are really loose. the bottom part is easily movable almost a foot back and forth. i can make the rattle go away by applying pressure to the top of the bumper cover. its almost like its missing a support or something. my moms 97 is just as loose

Mine moves like a half inch.
There'* those push in one time connectors at the bottom hooking the cover to the support. I know they sell the at Lowe'*

They are all loose. It took only about 10 minutes to take mine off today and that'* because I had to keep running downstairs for tools. There'* 6 10mm nuts/studs in the trunk, 5 small self tapping screws and 6 or so "push-in" fasteners that hold that monster on.

looks like pontiac forgot to put some pieces in on my car
i took off the top strip and found only 1 of the 5 push in connectors were there...
i wil put some insulation in there before i mount it agian, that should take care of it. as far as the bottom...they are all in there, but the whole mount and everything is loose. maybe i will have to replace those pushins also

When I took mine off, it only had one fastener in the same area. The one at the junkyard had like 5 though.
If you fill up all of the holes there, I'm sure that the cover will still move. If you were to use some other fastener that really holds that thing in there I think it would cause problems with the cover cracking as it wasn't meant to be rigid it seems.
Damned if you do, damned of you don't.
