I didn't figure he was talking about repair, but rather replacement. I know for a fact a tranny can be replaced, with labor, for under 1500. My replacement engine and tranny, with labor, wasn't but about 2 grand (which The Missus consatntly remids me of since it went on her credit card )

In Worcester...a trans can be had for around $300 with 6 month warranty. Not a bad deal.
If you get this..expect that you'll need to change the LIM gaskets, probably valve cover gaskets and the trans.. uh... it'* not going to last long once you start romping it. But.. it'll be fun. And I like working on S2'* more..
