Default Needing some help with how to replace a motor mount on my 89 Olds Delta 88

I took it to a the shop last week to see why I had a bunch of vibration it the steering column and the entire body of the car. The shop found that the front motor and transmission mount were no good. The motor mount was broken in one corner and the transmission mount was cracked. Well I didn't want to pay the 300 dollar for the work so I am gonna due it myself but my Haynes Manual is not telling me much on how to remove it. I see how to due the trans mount but not the motor mount. So I am needing pictures or something telling me how to exactly due it right without doing damage to my subframe or my engine. I will be doing the work tomorrow. So any and all help with this will be a blessing to me. Thanks so much.

With your good floor jack, put a piece of 2x4 or 3/4" plywood on it. About 6"-8" square. This is to keep the trans pan from getting mashed in one spot while it holds the weight.

Put the car on ramps or jack and support the car. Remove the three 15mm nuts holding the front mount to the subframe. The are in from underneath and don't support the mount, they simply hold it into the subframe. Bring the jack and and position it under the trans pan so that it spans and makes it to the edges then jack and watch things. You only want to remove the weight and see the mount move slightly at this point.

Remove the three 13mm bolts holding the mount to the trans casing. There is possibly one 18mm bolt holding the mount to the engine. I am pretty sure that came in later (around 96) though. Now the mount should be loose (might have a holder for trans lines (10mm). Wiggle and jack as needed to remove the mount. Slide new one in place and bolt to transmission, lower the studs into the subframe holes with the jack and remove the jack. Put the nuts back on and you are done.

Thanks for the info. It took me about 5 hours to get my transmission mount in so I didn't get the motor mount in but will b adding it to another weekend project. I had to exchange the first transmission due to a subframe stud bolt broke off. Also when that happened I got pissed and threw the bolts and a few tools and I found all the tools I threw after I calmed down but had to buy new bolts after I got the new transmission mount. But thanks again for the help full in site on how to due the motor mount.
