Okay, I had it backwards: the body of the jacket is black; the sleeves are red. It also has a red collar around the neck. The brand on the inside says "Swingster" (Yeesh... :? ). Made in U.*.A.
I got it from Sullivan Pontiac in Arlington Heights, IL back when I got the car in 1996. They had _tons_ of official Pontiac clothing: in winter all the staff wore insulated winter coats with Pontiac racing logos all over them, etc.; in summer they had lighter jackets with similar decorations. Some of their stuff you could buy over the counter in the Parts department; other stuff you'd probably have to schmooze a salesman into handing over. I'm sure he would if you were teetering on the edge of buying a new SSEi from him...

I mean, back in the '80s they had all kinds of cool stuff you could order. I got a nice Members Only-style jacket in light gray, came with an embroidered AC-Delco logo and your choice of GM division logo. I got Pontiac, of course, but you could even order GMC if you wanted.
I'm not talking about dressing up like a walking NASCAR billboard; I'm talking about nice discreet casual wear that you can wear to an office, etc. Like right now, I'm wearing a dark green polo shirt that'* a souvenir I got from the Gateway Arch in Cincinnati. It'* got a small "GATEWAY ARCH," "ST. LOUIS" and an outline of the arch itself embroidered in white. What'* so hard about GM coming up with similar stuff?
