Are you talking about the HVAC programmer? It lives between the PCM and the heater box.

Its the black box connected to the black box which holds the heater core on the inside. Im guess thats what your talking about. On the inside it contains 6 color coded wires and when they are removed they have like an air leaking sound coming out and it also has an mother board with a red plug with about 16 wires. What ever this is it controls the digital readings and the heater blower.

Yep, that'* the programmer. There is a chance that I will have one for sale soon. I'm sick and tired of not being able to manually direct the airflow in my 93 so I'm trying to swap in one from a 97. The 97 ECC head has most of the proper functionallity but I can't turn AC mode off at all. Next, I want to change the programmer to see if that solves the problem. If it works then the original programmer from my 93 will be available.

It rained all day today so I couldn't install it. You might want to check out the For Sale section too. I've recently seen some 93 parts for sale.

I was just thinking, I had one in my hands yesterday. It'* Randy'* but while we were working all the wiring out fo the car we had one. BTW those colored wires are actually vacuum hoses. Colored to easily identify which part of the system they control.

Agree with Randy, check for sale or hang out until the rain stops. It'* still pouring here.

Hey Randy....If you need a dry place and want to tinker...stop over...I've got that nice big 2 car garage usually doing nothing but keeping my stuff out of the weather.

Going be your username, I figured it was a 93.

I would think that you will loose at least some functionallity with a 93 programmer in your 97. If the 97 prgrammer doesn't work properly in my 93 then it will be available. There has been a break in the Monsoon rains here so I hope to know by later on today. There is also one 97 in the For Sale section that looks like it'* being parted out.
