Simple question on Dogbone engine mounts
My 3100 has the 2 dogbones. I'm thinking about replacing them with ones from RSM to recover some possible torque. Is there any certain way to change these to avoid problems or is it basically just taking one off at a time and replacing them? Thanks.

Mounts are never that easy, but yours look pretty straightforward. I think sse1990 or givemebreak may know. Don't GP'* have that same mounting system?
Looks pretty aggressive IMO.
Wish my mounts were that easy :?

I think you may want to use a jack on the engine/oil pan. Of course use some wood between it. You're going to need to relieve the pressure, pulling them one at a time will not do that on it'* own.
Good luck bud, have you looked into suspension setups? Changing my front spring rate cut my Front end lift down to abotu 1/3-1/4 of what it was before It doesn't bob up and down when it shifts now either.

I do plan on lowering the car 1" when I get the new rims. This car just sits way too high IMO. RSM has a lowering kit, but I just checked today and their price for it shot up very high...from $279 to $400. We'll see how I go about lowering it. I may get new bushings for the control arms and trailer arms, etc. And I am getting a rear STB too. The front one made a nice difference. Eventually I will be getting new struts/shocks. The back end is extremely crappy on bumpy turns.

I drove around from 1am sunday to 6 last night with upgraded springs, crazy sway bars, and new performance endlinks up front, and a stock rear.
Needless to say it felt like i was going to get on 3 wheels in half the turns, and it was kinda squirrely. After doing the rear sway and endlinks we're good now. I'd suggest doing it all at once, or not pushing the car until you do it all.

The endlinks made a nice difference on DR. Too bad I only had them on the car a few weeks.

If you dont lower, get a set of nice Sensatracs, as well as a rear STB, I just hope RSM machines the holes right this time..heh

Ditto on the STB. I hope the rear isn't a PITA like the front one was for a while. At least if I have to bang the heck out of the plates you won't be able to see them anyway.

Do you have shocks or struts? The struts on my car are just dampers, they don't have any spring to them. My front passenger side wouldn't go into the tower when it was fully compressed, and i freaked when I saw that. Then i realized it doesn't have a spring, it'* just to slow down the car and keep it from bobbing.
