Default It is decided...

I started a savings account today called "L67". I put $300 in it to start, hoping to multiply that by 6 in the next few months.

this means I'm doing an L67 swap =0. I feel it'* the cheapest, but not necessarily easiest, way to get boosted. I also feel completing something like this will greatly increase my confidence with engine work. As soon as I get ahold of everything I need I'm going to head down to my uncles house and we're going to do the swap there over a weekend. He has the knowledge (and tools!)

Wish me luck in my endeavors!

Brady...it'* not that bad.. do it!

and heck..we'll do more than wish you luck.. We'll give you pointers.

Drain the coolant on the old motor. Pull the radiator and unhook the electrical at the firewall. then unhook all other things..hoses/metal lines at the motor/trans. Pull them together as one chunk. Swap fuel pump/lines with motor/trans out. Do any applicaple wiring etc...drop new combo in.. Hook it back up and enjoy.

And...big and here.. please..don't expect to be 100% done in one weekend. It sounds possible on paper..but takes longer than one would think. A good mechanic working alone can swap the same motor into place in 8 hours. That doesn't include trans and pulling axles etc.
