check engine light code P0171
Hi guys, I've read some past post on these problems, but haven't heard of any solutions yet.
I've got a 1997 SSE with a 1999 engine with 67,000 miles on it. The problem is the check engine light comes on periodically. I have it scanned and the problem is always P0171 too lean bank 1.
I've checked the vacumn leaks and haven't found anything yet. I've cleaned the injectors numerous times. If I leave the light on without scanning, it will go off again by itsself. I haven't changed any oxygen sensors yet. I understand from reading that Bosch isn't the one to replace any with in the Bonne. Any suggestions?
Thanks,

EGR or Dirty MAF can set this code off as well. Even loose air intake fittings(or so I read). Have you tried cleaning the MAF sensor with an aerosol electronics cleaner?. I don't know about Bosch 02 sensors, their spark plugs dont like GM engines in general. If the 02 was faulty though, it would trip it'* own code.
