Default Need Code Scanner - Toronto Area

I seem to be in a very tight situation and have come here to see if anybody could lend me a hand with my problems. Well for the last couple of months i have neglected my Baby.(not my child, i mean my buick) I might have posted this here a while back or it might have been the buick forums. To get to the point my car has been running like utter **** latly....very laggy acceleration...its like i lost 30hp from the total 170hp the car came with lol. I also need to replace one or two tranny mounts as the whole vehicle moves when switching gears. Im working on the mounts this week so that should be fine. What i would really need is to get a code scanner to find out exactly what'* causing my beast to run so horribly. i am aware that on the pre 93 vehicles you could read the codes by bridging Terminals A and Terminal B on the OBD port. right? Well with my luck my service engine light is dead(possibly a blown bulb) Thus i cannot read any codes. I was wondering if anybody in the Ontario area could possibly lend me a hand for a couple of beers and help me diagnose my vehicle. I would purchase a scanner but i am sadly low on funds for the next two weeks.

I am very ashamed to admit i have neglected my vehicle and even more ashamed that i have to come and ask for help because of my stupid mistakes.

So to get to the real deal and the point of this post...I was wondering if anybody could possibly help me diagnoe the Lesabes in the Ontario area. Beers on me ofcourse(just turned 19 and i always wanted to say that).

Thanks in advance

Varies, I suggest checking Ebay. Take advantage of the higher CDN dollar and buy one from the US. Actron makes a good scanner, and its just over $200 USD

Get an OBD2 scanner with an OBD1 accessory cable, I presume you won't have an ODB1 car forever, so it makes sense to plan for the future.
