Default Neat article on 92 Bonnie introduction

I like reading old articles, and I came across this one by accident. Just something interesting to read while bored:

Heated windshield? Was that only featured on the 92 model year?

92 and 93. It was a very hard to come by option, and I believe was only available when someone ordered a car at the dealer, as my uncle started looking for a SSEi in 92, and none on the lots had the heated windshield.

I wonder why GM didn't continue to provide this option or make it standard. Such a thing really comes in handy in the winter and would be considered a safety feature.

Wren and myself have the only Bonnes on this forum with that feature. 93'* had that option too, but was switched via the rear defroster instead of having a dedicated switch.

What makes NO sense to me is that my '93 was originally sold here in Florida.

My dad'* 92 SSEi had a heated windshield before it got totaled (white curse).

Of course, I guess it was to be expected. It was originally a company car specifically bought to impress and I know they bought to top-of-the-line package.

Mine was originally a company executive'* car. Given to him when he retired, I bought it from his widow.

While we were out at NEBF, jr's3800 noticed that I have not only a spot for the fuse, but I also have the fuse in the spot...... We looked around a little bit, but didn't really find anything with it though. Still makes me wonder :?
