Narrowed down my water leak...
OK gang, I have searched, I've read about jr3800'* wars with water leaks, and I think I've got mine pinned down somewhat.
Originally, I had two, one being caused by the rust hole that was letting water in behind the back seat from the inner fenderwell (patched the hole with fiberglass mesh and used rubberized undercoating), and the other behind the dash.
I can tell you this much- it'* only on the front passenger side, no moisture present driver side, and it'* up behind the dash somewhere. I notice the water gets in when driven in the rain, it has sat through some nasty downpours and not gotten wet so it seems to be a problem only when driven. I'm thinking it has to do with the HVAC system, as I had the defogger running when I noticed the slight drips on the carpet (and worse underneath).
I remember vaguely reading about cleaning something under the hood that gets clogged and lets water in (involves removing a "trap door" below the Maxifuse center that for the life of me I couldn't remove out of the way). THat'll be the next thing I check, but how to get the Maxifuse block out of teh way first lol... I found a couple of the bolts but there'* one I can't get to for some reason. any ideas?
