Engine went down any suggestions? (Final Musings)
I have been trying to convince the dealer who sold me the car that the intakes were failing. They are not too swift, and last Monday did a pressure check and said the plugs looked fine. Well, it ends up I was still losing some coolant, and the plugs weren't "fine".
FWIW, sordid details...

Anyway, I'm driving it up to them and the engine light comes on. I wanted to stop, but it'* a few miles to get off of the highway. By the time I pull over, I have "low coolant" light on and "traction control off" lit. So I'm figuring i cooked it but good. Got a tow and dropped it after hours, so I have to go at them tomorrow.
Good news. 200 miles left on GM (Saturn dealer) certified warranty.
Bad news. We all know these guys are going to fix it on the cheap to get me past the warranty.
The only thing I can figure to do is push up the ranks and get them to further warrant anything that might have been effected by this. And when I get it back, take it to a dealer or diagnostic center and have it checked. ??
From what i have read, It just seems that everything in the block has been compromised.
Any thoughts appreciated.

I would love a Jasper dropped in. Ya know I didn't think about it. I shouldn't have played nice guy and kept driving the thing till it completely exploded. I wouldn't have this semi state of engine limbo

edit: I talked to a "preferred" Jasper engine/trans shop awhile back. The shop caps the head, too. Guess what Jasper recommends..... metal LIM, Fel-pro top gasket, and a DORMAN crown.
They must follow this site.

yeah, they rebuild alot of engines to be like 200% better than OE. Transmissions the same. Most of their stuff lasts like twice as long i heard so...hah, definitely, i would go with Jasper before anyone else.
