Yes, dual exhaust. It'* one muffler..two outlets
The grill is different than the SE you had.
Should have 8 speakers 2 in each of the front doors and 2 on each side in the back deck.
Fully loaded SSE usually includes power heated tinted side mirrors, auto dimming rearview, moonroof, 9 way adjustable seats...and more

16inch wheels..yes. 225/60/16 I think.

Now I'm running away..because you are simply too excited.

I hope you get the car..you'll like it.

Sounds real good. Cars kept in the family are always the best. Good mileage for the age to boot. Good luck on the purchase!

Default Test drove The Bonnie SSE

Well Fellas.... Went to see the 92 SSE today..
(sorry if this is a tad long, Im a detailed anyalitical kinda freak, can't help it.. dont hate me!!)
Man was it beautiful...

Forrest green paint, 3 yrs old not a strach or swirl on it..Moonroof worked pefect
painted rims to match.. 225-60-16 Eagle GA tires about a year old
It did have the same grille as my 95 not the regular 92 grille

Now the inside,
Immacluate would be a mild statement...

Loaded to the brim.
1-auto climate control-electronic compass-electronic readout for display(where the picture of that fake car is on my 95 SE, not sure what you call that)-auto dimming rearview mirror-some wierd switch for min max for radio above the ashtray-am-fm casette with EQ-
and the best part.. It had the head ups display on the dash.. I saw that on a 99 Park Ave I drove before and it was cool..auto headlight sentinal- and Im sure more SSE stuff

I quess all it didnt have have was the leather seats and the 8 way power seats..

The car looked brand new..If you didn't know bonnevilles you would never know that it was a 14 year old car.. It was senior owned and well taken care off its whole life..

He came down from $3000 3 weeks ago to $2500 2 weeks ago to $1500 this week..

Why????

Unfourtantly after a quick drive I found it..... First it needs new struts.. .I found a estimate in the glove box for new ones, it said $587 where he took it. OUCH!!

Further probing in the glovebox I found more recipts for recent oilchanges going back 9 months. Each one said oil pan gasket leaking and added 1-2 quarts of transmission fluid...I almost cried...

So with my friend with me I pulled into a local mall parking lot. I gunned it and hit the brakes. (there was also a reciept for new brakes done in NOV, front and rear for $624 for preuim lifetime brakes.OUCH) So I took off slow and I felt the car kind of jerk when she took off, nothing bad, but we felt something. We did this about 7-8 times (slow take off) it did it about half the time. I was so bummed...

I did have the car up to 50, it drove real nice, it does need a front end alighnment bad, but thats no biggie.. Not as much power as my 95 with the series II, but plenty..

When we got back, I asked him about the leaks, he said no big deal of course, but he didn't mention them until I asked him. I did notice that there weren't any oil stains anywhere near his house, but his street has rocks out front so maybe their hidden. He did say he fixed a broken hose to the trans and that fixed the leak.

He was about 40 minutes from my house so he wouldn't let me take the car to my mechanic (I probaly wouldn't let me either) so I asked him if I could take it to a chevy dealer that was about 5 minutes away to look at the tranny. He said fine as long as they don't touch anything.

At that point I said I'd think about it and I asked him how firm he was on his price, he said $1500 is his bottom... So I walked...

Did I do the right thing????
The car was so nice... But needing struts and maybe tranny work, its not worth $1500..
I though about taking it to a local trans shop and having them pull the pan and look it.. but I couldn't tell if he didn't want me to know what was really wrong or just that he didn't want someone messing with his ride.. He kind of leaned towards not wanting anyone messing with the car, that I can understand but still....
Should I take it to a trans shop and just tell him I am??

I blew 2 trannys in my 95 in 2 and half years so Im real nerveous.....

Or should I just say forget it and be glad I still jave my cash in wallet..
I wasn't gettin good vibes about it..
But man was she sweet..
Your thoughts??
thanx all,

I forgot to mention that I did feel the jerking motion once before we hit the mall parking lot. It was like I thought I felt something kind of thing.. And I dont mean to imply that I gunned the car 7-8 times in the lot, that was done just once.. After that each time I gave her some gas, not hard then made a full stop, then took off again.. I didnt beat the guys car.. I wouldnt do that!!

My old 93' jerks when taking off from a stop. I think its just staying in second gear when you stop and when you touch the gas to take off it engages 1st. As to oil leaks, its gonna happen with these engines. The stock gaskets are, shall we say shitty. When I did my rockers the valve covor gaskets where whimpy. The new ones from GM are much better prolly 3 times thicker. So, i'd say just replace the gaskets with the new stronger, thicker ones.
