I'll be looking into that. I've got a spare set of L67 heads here that are in good shape. I need to make a decision on this soon. If I'm gonna tear the top down, I might as well go further and swap the heads out also. Makes sense in my OCD wired brain.

Yep. At least open enough to allow a better cam to enjoy. So Key, how about twin quads sticking out of your hood sideways with stacks. Now that would get some open mouthed stares.

I'm thinking I'm going to port the heads, then have a shop do the valves and change the lift. I want to change the lift to .700 so I can run higher lift rockers with the cam if I want.

Don I had a velocity stack on my 79' Camaro. I was running a 375HP, 350 with a Saginaw 4 Sp. That car would thunder the fenders off a 6.2 TA. It sounded wicked just idling at a light with that air being drawn into the stack...I miss that car. I don't miss the mileage I got - 10MPG with my foot in it or out of it. Thanks for sharing.

If I was to go that far, I would rather raise the supercharger up and have that sticking out of the hood.

FWIW if someone is looking for ported heads, milled valve guides, fresh from the machine shop with stock sized manley valves, 110# springs (originally 120#, checked at shop to measure as 110# currently, very normal) fresh black paint etc. I have a set in the bags from the machine shop. $700 is all I'm asking, but haven't posted them.

The way Dan is going, I'd think ideally a set of Stage 3 heads would rock his world. I know it sure helped my smile when I put those on.

Dan..you are planning 3.29'* in the trans, right? You could keep costs down by using the HV-093 V8 Chains (frequently on ebay) and any non-hd trans drive/driven gears. Only difference in the drive/driven gears is the ratio.
