Default Finally.......Got more boost!!!!

I finally went and did it. Wednesday before last I called and ordered a 3.4 from ZZP. It rode around in the back of Sapphire for about a week,it'* a good thing I didn't try to do it after work.

Doing the pulley was easy thanks to the puller from ZZP. Instructions were very straight forward and it was a piece of cake I Was going to wait and do the belt next weekend,so I got everything tightened back up,started the engine and the stock belt had sooo much "flop" in it,I had to do the belt. I got a belt when I placed my order but it was too small to fit over the pulley. I got another from Advance after cross referencing the stock P/N and finally got it put on,it still has a little "flop" but it'* not as bad as it was. Will it be ok to drive it??? I don't want the damn thing to come off!!!!

If anyone tells ya changing belts is easy,DON'T BELIEVE 'EM!!!!!!!!!!!

Being a "NOOB" when it comes to wrenching on cars it took me all day to change the pulley and the belt. The belt was the hardest part!!!!!

I came in and took a shower after I finished and will be going out to dinner soon. I haven't had a chance to drive it yet but,I will post the reaction when I get back.

I've already done the CAI,exhaust, new wires,O2 sensor and one range colder plugs. Pem'* are in the future.

Is there anything I've forgotten for the moment????

You need to change the belt. The stock belt with an oversized tensioner is still too large.

I thought the same when I did my pulley; which was that the oversized idler pulley would help reduce any slipage.. Which I didn't notice any slip but once I changed both my belts and put a GattorBack 725 (stock size) on I started have some decent belt slipage from time to time.

Good job, beast.....................

This is the second or third time recently that I have heard members having trouble getting the 715 belt on after doing a 3.4 pulley. For those that have done the 3.4, is there a secret to getting that belt on the pulleys?
