I need tires and want to go wider but dont need to lose any side wall hight.Whats the fattest tire we can run without rubbing on a 98?Im looking at the new goodyear assurance tires.Thanks SO CLEAN ONE

I wouldn't go over 245. But you may still get some rubbing.

245'* will work with no rubbing, there were 2 guys running these at B fest

The 245 /50/ 16? And are the sidewalls about the same as 225 /60/ 16 just wider?SO CLEAN ONE

50'* would be about an inch or 2 shorter profile than 60'*

They are significantly shorter. Expect a lot more wheel well to show.
