Pipe fittings don't need anything to seal them the threads are tapered so they tighten into themselves, at most plumbers tape can be added if the threads get messed up.


This is a set of pipe taps, it might not be really clear but they get bigger as you go down.

You run weld bead to bulk up the pan. I have been thinking about doing a plug on mine. Have seen to see if it is think enough to thread the pan or I should weld on a kit from autozone and put slots in the nut so it drains fully

Not thick enough to thread the pan. You will need something on the outside of the pan.

If you can get your hands on another pan, clean it up, pack it, and ship it, I'm sure someone on here could do it for you. I would if I had the capability.
