Default I own a '92 SE, Should I buy a '93 SE parts car for $250

Probably $200 for the car.
I have the EGRless motor, the 93 has the EGR.
Is the block and accesories basically the same?
Also tranny and other driveline parts interchangable?
The interiores are the same.

Also, If I bought it, would it be worthwhile to part it out on Ebay or here?

Ebay and here.

The 93 has a slightly different (improved) valvetrain, but most things will swap directly over, including the trans and most interior stuff.

Well, I just called the guy back and he took the offer for $200. The car was wrecked in the front(minor) but still driveable. I was more interested in the driveline then anything else . I"m going to pull the engine and tranny , and some other parts then list it in the parts section. Thanks

I'd swap the topend, including exhaust headers and EGR, and the PCM. Or the whole engine and tranny if it has less miles than yours.

Ok, the reason for buying this car is because I'm having a surging tranny problem at around 1500 RPM'*. The tranny shop thinks it'* a bad timing chain, because at that low RPM it'* lugging the drivetrain. I've searched here thru many threads and there'* so many threads on this or close to this problem. Everyone suggests replacing the coilpacs or wires and plugs on the threads. Wires and plugs have been replaced with AC delco with no difference. So I figured a car for $200, I'd have many parts at my disspossel to try.

Is the '93 that much better then the '92. TO do a swap were talking about electrical hookups that might not be on my car. EG: EGR stuff, ECU

The '93 has 92K, my '92 has 108K

I've only had this car 2 years, so it'* all still a learning experience for me.
