Sometimes the shop will put a sticker on the fan/radiator shroud under the hood. Or, they'll put it on the driver'* door edge or door jamb on a service tag (like the old style oil change stickers). If it was done at a dealership any GM dealership can tell you if/when it was done based on the VIN. Check with your dealer.

PM me your VIN. The one and only recall I had on my 99 is for the fuel pressure regulator. I just got that replaced last week. Been solid for 6 years!

The sooner the better. Your mileage isn't too high yet, so you'll probably be ok. Its when people wait like 80k+ miles to do it that it becomes a problem.

how much does a flush useally cost? should i goto the dealership or to a transmission shop?

I remember people quoting 75-90 or so being average depending on repair rates in your area.

I'll be doing this in spring most likely. Heck maybe get an aux tranny cooler with a thermostat while i'm at it.
