TPMS Error Lamp

TPMS Error Lamp
Hello,
I have a question about the annoying TPMS error in the dash.
I bought a used Buick Envision 2017 with summer tires.
They of course have TPMS valves.
Now when I get winter tires I need to get the expensive TPMS valves for these too.
Is there any way to avoid this by means of programming the car. I mean somehow program the car so that it does not require TPMS sensors ?
I heard you can do that with couple of Japanese and European cars
I wonder if there is such a possibility for Buick ?
Thanks
tom

The TMPS system is there for a reason. Bad enough to have a flat in nice weather, worse for you and everyone else if you have one in snow/ice/sleet/etc. Looking around it seems like I could buy a 2017 Envision for $18,000.00-$49,000.00 . I'm guessing you plan on keeping yours for a while since you're going to the trouble of buying winter tires for it. Winter tires for it start at about $130.00 each over at Tire Rack, plus rims, shipping, installation, tax, etc.
With all of this in mind, $200.00 for a set of TPMS valves seems like small potatoes for years of service and extra margin of safety.
My $0.02 .

tomtom, are you getting rims with your winter tires or swapping tires on the current rims?

I got the car with summer tires with TPMS and much wider rims than the winter rims with tires but without TPMS
I would think this is the case in 90%+ that one has different tire size in winter and summer
the TPMS for the winter would cost around 100 bucks
If one could code out the TPMS check one can safe the 100 bucks
at the moment I have to see the dash board TPMS warning every day in winter

For all four?
Back to the original question:
I haven't heard of a way. That'* not to say that there isn't a way, just that I haven't heard of it. This is a Chinese-designed American-branded Chinese-assembled American platform engineered by a GM subsidiary in Germany that is now owned by a French manufacturer. I'm not sure if that increases or decreases your odds that there'd be a way to do what you are looking for.

I understand what you mean -> Opel
So you are saying that all GM cars have the same electronics for TPMS ?
My idea is to investigate the possibility removing the TPMS check by changing the ECU programm or some settings in the ECU
I would think - or at least like to think that many others would prefer to just get rid of the TPMS warning instead of paying for sensors
for older cars its at least 100 bucks and for newer about 200 bucks for 4 sensors
