The 92'* that may have received an EGR have the same digital EGR you and I have. Either 94 or 95 went to a linear EGR, if memory serves.

Well, I don't know when they were made. One is a 92 Olds 88, a 92 Bonny SE, my 92 SSE SC also has the same EGR.

I know all the SC 92'* have EGR'*, but this is the first of the other models I've heard of. That'* good news for you.

The digital EGR uses different sized orifices opening at different or similar times to regulate the flow. The linear EGR uses one port, but the opening is a variable width....it opens as much as it needs to in order to recirculate.

So the Digital has 3 solonoid actuated valves, and the linear uses one larger one. Take a careful peek at some of the engine bay pics here to see the difference. I'm not certain, but I believe MOST of the 87-90 models use a vacuum actuated EGR, and the Linear is still used for current models. The digital was only used from 91-93, with the exception of SOME NA models.........??? Which got none????
