Actuall races tellteh truth not some #'* the gm or pontiac spokespeople tell you.

I know my front quarter panels are plastic but I think all Bonnies have that. So anyone know the weights corresponding to each year?
Hmmm... I'm about 98% sure that my front quarter-panels are metal, albeit with plastic mouldings. Are you talking about the front air dam?

To figure out the weight of you car just look on the driver side door. You will see a total weight I think its GVWR. Take that and subtract that by how much the tires max load is, something like 1000 lbs. And that is the weight of your car stock.
Couldn’t read mine but Ill try again. The top of the label was ripped so the numbers if I can read them don’t have any correspondence. Ill figure it out. I bet with a few beers ill have it down.

Ok, the # on the side of my door says like 3500lbs, and you're saying subtract 1000lbs from that? so that leaves me with 2500lbs? that dosn't seem right...
As for 95 stat times being BULL think again because my '95 will keep right up there with my uncle'* 2001 Grand Prix GTP...which has stock times listed in low 15s as well. I don't have any mods on mine. SPEED no offense or anything but it sounds like you have a lemon...either that or i've got a factory freak...

No, mine does go fast but Iv never tested it and it sure doesn’t feel like the 7.1 0-60. I played with the front fenders and mine really flex and feel like plastic. Although I’m not willing to bet $314.70 to find out. I also have already blown one Tranny and this was do to pushing it too hard. I am sure with a new tranny in the waiting I would be glad to let it rip. ya mine says it weighs 4420-1000=3420.

LOL yup well the writing is faded but, turning a 3-4 is very hard to do so I think it actually says 4. Now you know why I want 600hp. Ill check it out at the dealer.

Do you have an SE?? SSEis are heavier than the SEs. Edmunds lists the 1995 Bonnie @ 3446 lbs, and the SSEi as 3691...so about 200lbs difference.
I don't know...I have an idea that the person who owned the car before me might have chipped it, because it dosn't shut off when it'* supposed to (the speed limiter)
The 1990s were like 3376 lbs and had 165 hp, where as we have either 205 or 240...a considerable difference...

[quote]Mine has a chip/ no limit supposed to add 30hp, ya right. The flowmaster is supposed to add 20hp, ya maybe if I had a SC. I figure its 20 for the chip and 10 for the flow. So I should be around the 230hp mark might be why I ate my first tranny. I am going to have it checked out soon so I can get a proper read/dyno. I also have 17inch rims so my tire diameter may be slightly larger than stock.

As for weight I was right then about the 4. I have an SE and it falls right in place when it comes to the appropriate weight (3446). With this news I will now be happy with 500hp.
