I got my car back last monday, and the dealer probably over-charged us by a lot, but the job is done and it was done correctly.

I put the fog lights back together and hooked them up to the power, but I comitted an automotive sin. I used a socket wrench on an old nut and bolt when there was a brand new torque wrench not 200 feet away. Live and learn. I snapped the bolt off right before the battery ground. So I stole a bolt from my dad and stuck it in a hole in the frame 5 inches behind Pontiac'* ground bolt. Hooked everything up. Works fine.

Also, went to work today, and after an hour I was so bored out of my mind I decided to go on break to get caffine. When I came back I saw a gorgeous black, c. 1994 Pontiac Bonneville SSEi pulling in the other entrance. It has gold pinstriping down the side, gold grille, gold wheels (didn't look like the cheap spray gold wheels though), and gold emblems. It was absolutely stunning. Turns out that it'* my supervisor Ben'* car. I'll see if I can take some pictures of it tomorrow. It is really a slick looking Bonneville.

1 last fun stuff.

If you have Firefox or IE6 you should get some way to maximize it.

Anyway here it is
Fluid-POW 8.800 15.36
Pump 6.605 144.74
Core Return -20.00
ST/GR REM 6.508 265.60
Labor 369.90
Misc. 25.00
MN tax 28.40

Total 856.00

"Found power steering pump high pressure hose and rack and pinion failing"
What I was told was that (I'm using my mother'* technical terms) "Something" in the pump broke and that "something" was pushed through a high pressure hose which was cut by the "something." The hose then leaked power steering fluid on the rack and pinion assembly which was damaged to the point it could not be repaired and should not have been on the road.
