It'* Winter Time
Always helps to remind people... you should spray your door seals with a silicone based spray so they are less likely to freeze shut in the winter. Also those with power antennas (not WD-40!).
PS... Don't keep your lock deicer IN the car.

Another winter tip, especially for those where it gets cold and dry.
Be very careful pumping gas, static electricity causes many car fires every winter. If you do have a fire while fueling, DO NOT grab the handle and pull it out of the filler. Shut the pump off at the pump then get a fire extingusher and put out the fire.

It'* not just a winter thing, but the cold makes the fumes hang around longer making them easier to ignite.

I always keep some in the car. In case the lock at work is frozen.
But I always have some in the house too. In case my truck or car is frozen.
Then again, I have some in the pocket of my work jacket. Just in case.
Seems a waste because it don't freeze here all that often. But when it does freeze it usually follows rain and all the locks are frozen really well. That'* where the butane lighter comes in handy.

Never use WD-40 as a lubricant. It'* not.
W and D stand for Water Displacing. It'* a solvent that evaporates quickly, and has very few lubricity qualities.
Use a Silicon based lube on the power antenna and door seals.
