It'* funny this thread showed up...
Today I looked at a 1991 Chevy Carpice with an LT1. Just looking at it for a spare car. It'* pretty beat up (body in good shape, though). The interior is OK. Been smoked in. Has 123,000 miles and needs a battery. The undercarriage has a nice coating of rust proofing (AKA tranny fluid
). Started right up with a jump, but has an exhaust leak up near the manifold. Needs tires. Dark red, charcoal interior. Dummy coolant light was on in the dash, too. They said that it'* been on for two years (thinking bad sensor).
They want $2,500, but were quick to tell me that they'd take $1,500 because they are THAT desperate for cash. I was thinking about offering them $1,000. I know nothing about these cars. Sound good or keep on looking?
