Default HELLLP GOING NUTZ

Been a while and I had to change my log in. I used to use the username SHOWHAT9.
Wife'* 92 SSEi recently spit the accessory belt, limped it to corner Firestone, and had the belt put on.
I have a small amount of trust in these guys as have used them for about 5 years for various things.
They called me with the ususal Injector Pitch, however knowing that the fuel rail has never been pressure cleaned I said ok.
*/M tells me car may stumble for a day or two but it'll be fine.
Well, that was Tuesday and yes it would just shut down at up to 40 MPH, ususally twice in a given day and then be fine.
Today, Saturday, car won't start. Have fuel at the schrader, fuel pump is coming on, it appears to be either a fuel delivery issue or spark issue.
Is there a connection to the F/I cleaning and my now no start condition.
What can I do before loading it on a flat bed and pis$$ing in their cherrios on Monday.
It should be noted I have an aftermarket remote start, but I disabled that and no difference. It just cranks and cranks.
Thoughts???

Without the Crank sensor functioning there will be no spark pulse or injector pulse... Therfore no spark or fuel injector pulse, or no fuel to the cylinder.. Unless the ICM rattles the injectors for the start sequence...

Look to see if you have spark and then get back to us...

As for the other screen name, we should be able to help you with that... I remember you.. And your right it has been a long time...

Let us know what you find... If you want think I can change the password for you...
pulled #1 lead from the coil and got spark, # 6 no spark.
Didn;t bother with the rest.
Is this a coil pack issue or PCM issue?? who tells what what to do??
This comes at a very bad time as my SHO ate it'* engined coming back from National Convention in CA. Puled in High desert of NV and cost me large to get back in my garage, where donor engine is stitting along with today, the puked engine. -- So far found H2O in the tranny pan - not good.

FWIW password was not the issue - it just didnt' like me - acted almost as if the site was down.
But if you can get my original stuff back that would be great.
Any comments about the Fuel Infector cleaning under pressure?? Was not Ultrasonic which is far better.

As luck would have it, this morning it just fired right up like nothing was wrong. Sd screw this, I have my SHO engine in pieces all over the garage floor. Drove it across the street to the wrench that did the injectors, tossed the keys in the door and left a note that said look to the CPS first - CAUTION - Intermittent.
Thanks again.
You get any friends with V8 sho'* send them my way when they have a problem, I'll get em good info like this anytime.

Crank sensor. The intermittent gives it away. It'll start 1 out of 6 attempts on average. To me, it doesn't look related to the injectors, but that doesn't mean they didn't screw something up. I'd be looking at wiring harnesses to see if there'* any obvious damage at this point.

I hope they get it fixed... It seems that crank position sensors on the bonnevilles go bad as the cars age... I have seen some fords do the same... Gotta love car and you gotta hate em at time too...

Good Luck, and let us know what happens..
You wanna see horor stories, you need to see a v8 wedged sideways into a Tauri!!!
CPS - got a couple days???? As I am dropping my nuked engine and installing a new donor, which has a cam failure by the way, It amazes me that the eingieers are not told once they design something, it'* fabricated, and shoved into an engine bay, " here, now take it apart" Think every engineering project needs that additional step. Bet stuff would get better quickly.
Just my .02 though.
If SHOWHAT9 was running, I'd tacke the SSEi CPS myself - just too many peas man!!

OK here'* what I know. They called me because they wanted my spare key. Seems the car had stored code 58 Security System. What happens with this code is it interrupts the pulse to the injectors to disable the car. However, also had CPS and some old 02 codes and 1 EGR code.
I told them I want the CPS anyway based on the age.
Just got the call. Seems to be firing fine. So here'* another curveball question. Would the intermittent CPS somehow be the cause of the car throwing the 58 based on duty cycle attempts??? Or is the resistor just turning to crap and use the newest key? I'll find out more tonight and tomorrow as the wifey is scared to drvie it.

The 3.2 was the yamaha V6 used in the Generation II taurus - your'e right torquey and when bolted up to a 5 speed will do 14.6 all day uphill downhill or no hill. My Generation III V8 is lacking a bit in the torque area but we make up for it with a wider power band, and once you chip the car and get rid of the limiter 155+ is easily doable. Just don't expect to get there in 20 seconds. The other advantage over previous SHO Generations is our suspension.
On the track the GI-II may slide past me on the straight, but I will be forcing them to let me pass in the twisties. No way they can handled as well. Too Boxy and top heavy.
go to www.v8sho.com. The front page has a picture of me at Blackhawk Farms Race Park in Beloit WI. You'll only have 5 seconds as it'* a click through page. See how flat I'm sitting as opposed to the GI chasing me? That'* where we shine.

.... And the beat goes on
After all the drama for the CPS, Belt etc thought everything would be fine and I could get back to rebuilding my SHO'* motor that puked in the high desert of Neveda. But NOOOOOO - everybody with an SSEi know about that little 6" water line that comes out the top of the water pump housing and goes right below the snout of the */C?? Yeah that'* the one, WITH THE STUPID PLASTIC FITTING!!! Snapped in 1/2 leaving half the fitting in the housing, stranding my already more than a little P/O'd wife? Did I mention Coolant all over Route 83??? Or how about that nice ride on the Flatbed????
ARGGGGGGGHHHHHH!!!!!!!
Rant/off
PS check that fitting, and if your'e doing a flush get rid of it and replace with metal.FWIW

Larry, your VATS code (5 is a known bug in the 92 PCM. Ignore it.
