Power distribution is all different with the DOHC engine....off the line a modified Series II L67 will quickly lay waste to the 4.0. However it not meant to be gruntish off the line, its got smooth evenly distributed power.

I find my 4.0 is more of a pleasure to drive then the 3800, its quieter, the tranmission shifts nicer. Its a lux car thru and thru.

At the end of the day, I'm pretty lucky to have both powerplants.

Keep enjoying your Bonneville there Andrew

Oh Jerry, if the weather is nice, we'll bust er out.

couldnt help but notice now different the gas pedal was.. touching it easily spun the tires on the ice...... NOT LIKING THAT... bonneville has way more control in that area

Heh...yea, prolly on crappy tires. My summer tires are 40% slicks, they dont spin...period. Mike (sse1990) tried back in Sept...but couldnt.

Does the car have Autobahn? 140mph limiter, 3.71:1 gearing, V rated tires

PS...those are aftermarket chromes...SSEi swoopies look better :P
