Default Pictures of a Center Console.

can someone take some pictures of a center console latch....i replaced mine but it still does not lock in place. I'm thinking the one I have is broken or the latch assembly inside the console is broken....just looking for pics of a working latch.

If I ever get home..I'll do pictures of both latch and catch. I don't believe they are interchangeable.

The first design was bad enough they totally redid it.

yes and then you also have to deal with different cup holder designs with the different latches

I saw the pic of your "new" cover, Hans, and it looks like my old one - it has the catch for the latch extending from the lid. Those things were getting broken quite regularly (easy to catch a sleeve on and snap it off (ask me how I know)). When I finally decided I'd had enough of a non-latching console lid, that particular lid had been discontinued and superceded by a lid that had a reciever in it. I had to buy the box and the lid because, as Boosty surmised, they are NOT interchangable. It has worked flawlessly since (been 8 years or so now). A picture of mine won't do you any good I'm afraid.

Don't recall the cup holder being different, other than being a little more flexible. I didn't change mine because of the new lid, I changed it 'cause it broke.
