Default differences? 95vs96-99

What exactly are the differences between the early to mid 90s bonnevilles such as the 95s, compared to like 96-99. Is it worth the extra cash?? i have been looking at many classified ads and other listings and its seems as soon as you hit 96, that slight body style change, the prices increase a bunch? thanx

Well, there are many. What trim level are you looking for. As a starting point? Do you want SE, SLE or SSEi?

Yea that was another quesiton for later ,because im 16 i dont wanna pay a tremendous amount for insurance for the ssei'* so that is outta the question, but as far as sle'* and se'* go is there a big enough difference between the two that i should go with the sle.i really dont like the shifter in the tree and i think that most se'* have that?? i may be wrong.

No...most newer Bonnevilles no longer have column shifters.

Put it this way. 92-95 SE and SLE came stock a Series I 3800 puting out 170 HP and 220ish torque, the 96-99 SE and SLE came with a Series II 3800 with 205 HP and 240ish torque. The exact figures escapes me.

However, if you get lucky enough, try to find a rare Supercharged SE, basically you get the SE trim level with the SC'ed engine. Tres cool

The SLE is basically the SE engine with SSE trim package.

THere is only two things that is the same that the 95 has that the 96-99 has and that is the NA 3800 Series II motor and the SSEi, SSE both doesn't have the windshield washer squirters on the bumpers.
