Default inflator in trunk=- part II

i had read on one of the other posts the trunk inflator could be used to pump up the rear air shocks on some sse'*. i looked at my 89 to see if there was a separate switch to do the same with mine. i didn't see anything. anybody have any tips or am i just not seeing the obvious?

thanks, bill

The rear suspension leveling is automatic. If you sit in the trunk and you don't hear the compressor run after a minute or so, something isn't right.

maybe i'm misunderstanding the other post then? my compressor does work but the way i read the other post there was a switch to direct air to either the trunk inflator OR the air shocks.

That 'switch' is automatic. Unless you pull a trick on it to jack it up for launching at a dragstrip.

plus there is no easy way to take the air from your system and put it into another system. the regulator is one way, meaning you can't back fill. plus there is a reason the other system is low.....there is a leak in it somewhere

It'* not a switch. It'* a solenoid (selector) valve. The SWITCH is for the inflator. The Solenoid is how the car decides where to send the air, based on the level of the rear of the car, or the inflator switch position.

Either replace your rear struts or springs, or adjust your ELC.
