Im planning on parting my car out considering thats really the only option I have at this point considering its on a salvage title (because it was totalled). Im thinking about getting a 2004 supercharged monte carlo SS black and white. I know one person here has this exact car I forget who. im wondering is this a really good car? I know its a sports car so it wont come cheap and it will be a while before i find/get one. Is it rear wheel drive? are they reliable? Also would anyone here be interested in any parts off my car when i finally do decide to part it out? I will probably put it in the for sale section reguardless but if anyone is in fact interested in anything let me know. I have one person i know through my bro whos interested in it, but if anyone else is interested let me know and ill put you on the list of people to contact.
This wont be happening for maybe a year or two depending on if i get hired in at this shop this year (i probably will) because I need a new car in the next couple years because old man winter is eating my poor car away. There are alot of brand new parts on this car and its reliable as hell. only problems are rust damage on the rockers, a kink in the frame and trunk in the rear and some rust damage on the hood. other than that it starts and runs every time with no issues. I'm gonna hate getting rid of it :( Im the 2nd owner, the first owner was a mechanic who used it as a dealer car at a car dealership.

I think you might be talking about spinem, she has a monty. As far as I know, front wheel drive, I might be wrong on that. 3800 engine, good car, but I'm sure wont come cheep.

spinems car is a intimidator edition monte ss, they had a bunch of different nascar montes in the early 2000'* tony stewart(black and orange, my favorite) , jeff gordon(blue), earhnhart jr(red), they are all what ever the ss had plus some interior and exterior upgrades. they arent that much as far a collector cars go.
the reasons i bought my monte are its comfortable, quiet, big truck to put speakers in and still have room for luggage or store purchases. plus with some decent tires you cant stop it in the snow. most of that is from being Fwd instead of being a rwd coupe.
the ss'* dont get that good of mileage though thats why i got the ls, i got almost all the cool stuff as on the ss but fe3 susp instead of fe4, cloth instead of leather(witch i like better) and i get over 35mpg

That era Monte is a W body. Grand Prix/Regal/Monte/Impala are all W bodies. The suspension and subframes are all relatively the same. The Monte got upgraded sways and an aluminum subframe from the factory. Overall it'* the same drivetrain as any SC equipped 3800/4T65E vehicle (Riviera/Park Ave Ultra/SSEi/Regal GS/Monte/Impala). A good front wheel driver with nice mileage etc.
PS, I'd think you could sell your car for more than you could part it for. Just list it as a good running, good driving with salvage title. It'll fetch less money..but someone will want it.

it was appraised at 3500 i bought it for 4500 but with a salvage title id like to sell it for at LEAST 2500 considering all the new stuff on it and the fact that its been taken care of very well

u should actually get a few miles to the gallon more with a SC Monte than a NA Monte but thats cause u will be running premium fuel. Basically the same thing as a GTP but bulkier.
