he never said they actually did it, they did the math to figure it out. Theoretically it can go 150 miles an hour. Look at it this way, when your car is in Overdrive and in lockup mode, RPMS are influenced totally by speed. So, at 55 MPH the engine is at 1,500 RPM, and at 70 MPH it is at 2,000 RPM. So, theoretically with every 15 MPH increase in speed, you gain 500 RPM.
My numbers may be a little off, but you get the idea.
I read somewhere that the bonneville was able to go 170 in its stock form, with the supercharger. (governor disabled) They tested it on a nascar track actually I think.
