That is a cool story. I'm sure there are people out there crazy enough to actually do that though which is the scary thing. But if they do they better invest in a parachute to stop their car instead of applying the brakes at 300mph.

The story as I originally heard it over 20 years ago was that a worker on the set of the Batman and Robin TV show stole one of the mini-jets that were used on the Batmobile. He then mounted it on his personal Corvette and went out to the desert to test it out. They found what was left of the car and him embedded in the side of a mountain.

I wonder how long the brakes would actually last (in seconds) if you were to hit them at 300mph.... Hahaha
They would probably get so hot they would seize right to the rotor or just catch fire..
