Well after getting my 88le in the christmas of 94(it was a graduation/christmas present) I saw more bonnies around. I don't know when you get a certain type of car you notice them around for some reason. Well knowing my 88le had some nuts having a ssei with 75 to 90 more horsies under the hood made me want to get one. Just recently my 88le was giving me probs so I decided to look around and get a different one. Looked at a few places then saw my 98 ssei. The black on it looked so cool. SSEi'* are for some reason hard to find cause mine was the only one for sale I could find in town. So making a long story short I bought it and have been happy since with all the power that the ssei makes.

Default yea,

I didn't know tha differince actaully myself, I just saw a bonneville that looked like mine and though It was tha same earlier years like mine, slowly I started notice'n differinces between 92-95 and 96-99 uh, I used to wonder why they had thier headlights on all tha time ( I didn't really know too much about DRL) I could start tell'n tha differece between cars when I looked at It from tha back side, I wanted a 96-99 until I seen those new boy Space Shuttles! now that'* tha goal for my next car purchase.

Sometimes I still mix them up occasionally though but not as often (usaully from far away) I'm glad I chose to get tha car that I have.

The inspiration for me to get my Bonneville was two-fold. When my grandfather bought the 1989 Bonneville SE for my grandmother back in Sept of 1988, I picked it out. I like the color and the wheels a lot. At that time I was about 13 or so and just started to like cars.

I have know the car for all of its life and waited patiently until I could have it. I never drove on my own (with my own car) until just last summer...I was 23!!

Back in grade 10, an old friend of mine got to drive a 94 SSEi, with all the trimmings, I was only in it once, but knew that was the car for me.

Now my inspiration is to get what I can out of my car now and evantually have an SSEi for my own

i was in the market for a car and went to a farm/auto auction about 16.4 miles from my house. i was hopnig to buy an old chevy pickup they had there but it went for too much so i stuck around. when they got up to my car the bidding started at $350 and i knew it was mine. finally got it for $450. with tax and title it was $600.94 i still remember because i was so proud paying cash, with exact change too. the 16.4 trip to the house was great, my dad drove it hard and im really impressed with the car, even running as badly as it was. now it sits in my backyard unregistered, in true hick style. ive even got a pile of parts i took out in front of it on a peice of plywood, i think ive got a grill, a tail light, the antenna, and the old timing chain, along with the jack in front of it. im just basically in the process of fixing the stuff that annoyed me on the drive home.

Default Pontiac!

I've always been a Pontiac man. I wanted a full size Pontiac with some kick, that way i could carry the entire family around (wife and 3 kids) but still enjoy driving it to work. I couldn't believe how much car you could get for so little price. After looking for some time I was able to find mine for $6,000.

I also have a 68 firebird 400 convertible that I am restoring and my father in law has a 59 Bonneville 2 Door Hardtop that he will be restoring soon.

Love those Pontiacs!

Well I've always liked the style of the early SSE ( Pre 92). So we decided one day to go to an auction and this one came in adn started around 250, so we started to bid on it ( my Fiance wanted it too) and I was cutting off at 500$ since we didn't really need a second car. So we ended up getting it for 450$.

That was a year ago and it'* still stiiting there waiting to get fixed so I can put it back on the road. All we need is time and $$$$, then again who doesn't.

I got my burgandy 89 as a hand-me-down. And let me enforce, hand-me-down LOL the poor car had hit a light post and one whole back quarter was crushed and by the time it was popped out and "fixed" (my parents didn't want to claim it on insurance) the whole back quarter was wrinkled.
Also, my mom hadn't taken care of it or washed it at ALL (and smoked in it) so it wasn't all that great...but at the time it was heaven to me. By the time I was done with it (2 years later) there was rust all over but other than that it was always clean inside and out...I cried when i had to let it go... hehe....

Then along came Hollywood I had saved and saved and i loved my old car so much (with the original name of Bonnie haha) that I was dead set on getting another one. I didn't know much about the series II and what not, I was just shooting for the highest year I could afford (3 years ago now) and I found my 95. After i got it home I noticed it didn't have some things that my old one had and was kind of disappointed..but i still love my car anyway and that'* my story

I currently owned a 1991 Pontiac Sunbird with a 4-banger. All it basically did for me was move in the direction I made it go. It was nothing special. Then one day a guy with a 1995 SSE comes up to my dad'* work and sells him the car for around 1000 because the engine was bad (cracked intake). He got a used engine put in it with about 5000 miles, and it was good to go. It had quite a few flaws in the paint, and the interior was nasty, but that was cleaned up. The paint still sucks. Anyway, I was very lucky to get this car, because now it is worth around 5 to 6K.
