Cars per plate or plates per car?
Recently reregistering a couple in the fleet had me thinking of how many cars my plates have been on. It'* a funny concept as I don't have vanity plates or anything special. With the exceptions that sometimes occur in the area that most cops would call "misuse of plates" (putting them on a car that isn't registered)....
Truck'* plates were new and have only been on the truck.
Bonneville'* plates have only been on the Bonneville
Regals plates..lol they've been on a white 97 GS, green 98 LS, green 98 GS and now the white 00 GS. Those plates are really getting mileage..lol
So tell us, have your plates gotten around or are they one vehicle plates?

One vehicle plates. When I got the Bonne I was planning on still driving the Corsica some and had just renewed the plates right before it burned to the ground.

My truck has had NY and PA regulars plates exclusive to it. My Bonneville has had NY and PA regular plates and NY Vanity plates (GXP VENOM) The Prius has the old Civic Plates. The plates on my 42 foot boat trailer were first on my old 17 foot Bayliner. My garden tractor has a miniature PA vanity plate that just says JOHN. (Bought in a Gift Shop in Lancaster, PA. It was pried off the old WallyWorld MTD one and reglued to my DT3000 Craftsman. My new V-Star 950 Tourer plates were also on my V-Star Classic.

Well back in MN, the plates went with the car when you sold it, and you got new ones for your new car.
Here in FL you get one plate and you move it from car to car as you sell/purchase them
I have one plate on my Chevy 1500 Work Van and only that, and one plate on my Bonneville that used to be on my Trailblazer.

The plate on my LeSabre is new.
The plate before the vanity plate on my Cruiser, was on several.
First was on my 73 Electra, then a 91 G20 Chevy Mark 3 van, then a 1996 Astro AWD, then on my Cruiser. Its had some mileage on it!
The one set of plates on my Regal before the vanity plates (was in my dads name before) had previously been on a 78 Firebird, a 82 Omni, and last a 87 Stanza before they made their way to the Regal. The plates on the Regal before that were issued to my grandfather and were NYS ex POW plates, which obviously, I couldn't have on there, but they let me keep one, which I still have hanging up.

Quite the opposite, actually: my Bonneville has had two plates. Back when CT used registration stickers on the rear plates, the rear one disappeared one day; went to the DMV, and they gave me a whole new set.
