Well.. I wanted to know if there was a inexpensive fix for my dilema.

The problem is that the bolt holding the terminal wires to the battery isn't grabbing properly? Seems like either the bolt and or the battery terminal thread is stripped ( I'm speculating the battery more ). IT drives me nuts that I"m blowing by and laughing at ricers just to find that my car'* electronic and engine cuts out... ..

I can thread the bolt in.. but near the end it wouldn't tighten down .. seems like stripped threads near the end ? I don't fancy the idea of using liquid thread since it'* not conductive.. and I really don't want to go out and spend the money to replace the whole battery ( mine is a little over a year ). I tried some ancient chinese secret of tin foil.. but that didn't work either...

Bud, it'* the terminal. It'* nice soft lead. You're looking at a new battery. If it'* only a year, you have a warranty, right?

just get a new battery and save yourself the trouble. my battery terminal is either broke or stripped to. sucks when your driving along and your car cuts out.

I had the same problem when checking the connection on my battery. The good news was that I found my Costco receipt from almost 2 years ago and they gave me a complete refund(America....What a Country!). They were out of stock of the base(650CCA) battery so I had to step up to the 800CCA battery for a few extra bucks.
BTW, Costco now sells those Spiral Cell Optima Batteries. I can't see any cost/performance advantages to those batteries unless(maybe) your running a mega-watt sound sytem in your car. They would LOOK better under the hood though.
Also, do any of you use a Battery Mat to prevent corrosion to your Battery Tray?

my brother'* 92 had that same problem.. it was the battery terminal not the battery itself. THe terminals are only like $2 at autozone! infact, I have a stripped terminal on my buick even!
