i may also have a 21.
throttle position sensor or circuit voltage high.
would this explain why my battery/volts always seems to be getting low?
and at times i have trouble starting becuz i have not enough juice?

i am going to probably check again to be sure and read up on the codes.

sometimes it is so low my car wont start. im not exactly sure how to check it but as soon as the car starts the gauge raises up to 13 or so.

luckily for me my friend got a battery jumper (about $80) and he lives near by.

i checked the codes again and it is just the 39 code. as if that isnt bad enough huh?
oh well,

i have checked and cleaned my cables over and over, ebven when they werent bad.
i also had my alternator rebuilt about a month or so ago.

at start up my voltage is usually about 14.
is it normal for the volts to go down (on the gauge at least) whenever you use the elect. windows, or push on the brake or when the turn signals are on etc?
sometimes the car jjust runs itself down in the middle of the night. with nothing left on.

also.... i keep hearing this humming noise (humming, ticking, clicking.) a few minutes or more after i start my car it kicks in. sounds like its near the solenoid. i also hear that in my dash right in front of me., something, maybe some relay ?? clicking or clicking on and off. i cant figure out what it is.

i am planning to check the battery and cables etc. i was going to get a new battery but i hate tp do that if my car is killing them.

anyone know anything about the TCC code. it says TCC circuit.

DO you have 2 cables on the positive side of the battery??..IF so..I had a problem with mine a while back...sometimes it would start...sometimes not...sometimes power would "run" down...ie low voltage...Anyway..it ended up being worn out connection "between" the two cables...ie...they are face to face with a bolt through to the battery...well the "faces" have little grooves "nubs" anyway they wear out and no longer provide CONSTANT connection to the battery...will also eat up your alternator...CHECK IT OUT....

1) Don't buy a new battery; from all indications you don't need it.

2) You might want to have an alternator output test done to make sure that the alternator is generating the output it should. You can remove the alternator, carry it in to the store and have it bench-tested there for free. (AutoZone, among other places)

3) The cables can be cleaned and reinstalled. Unbolt both from the battery. With some ingenuity and prying, you can back out each "captive" bolt in the end of the cable and remove it. This will reveal a metal inner ring, probably covered in goop and crud.

4) Use a wire terminal brush ($1.99) to make everything clean and spiffy in there, and also clean the underside of each bolt, where it tightens down on to the inner ring of the cable terminal.

5) Next, wipe a thin layer of Vaseline petroleum jelly on the clean metal inner rings and on the bolts, put the bolts and terminals back together, and button it all up. Positive connection goes on first, then the negative (ground). Make the bolts good and snug, but don't go torque-crazy or you'll risk stripping the threads of the battery.

It depends on the year of the car. The earlier ECM'* (e.g. early 1980s models) don't dump error codes until after the engine is started.

Okay, I think I can do a little better here...

Hold the end of the cable in your left hand so that your thumb is pressing up on the threaded end of the bolt (so you're pushing it back up out of the terminal ring). Use a small socket wrench and socket (what are the terminals now: 5/16"?) in your right hand to "unscrew" the bolt. As you turn it, twist it this way and that while pushing up on it with your left thumb, and pretty soon you should be able to pop it free from the rubber ring that holds it in.

Once it'* out, it'* pretty obvious where you need to be cleaning...

Yes...you have to get them from the dealer...I DONT recommend using anything but here...I tried that way too...just didn't seem to work..(after time)...there'* alot of power in an SSEi...all the specials you know...

The cables were'nt that much...considering that you WILL fry your alt. if there is not sufficent power returning to it...(actually there'* 3 leads...2 cables..and 1 wire to alt..)

GOOD LUCK........
